Pages to celebrate the life and memory of Oliver King have been started and contributions are welcome from all who knew him and wish to pay their respects. Please provide photographs and comments so that the page can become an appropriate tribute to a fine young man.

The official launch for the Foundation will be on Thursday 9 February. There are various things happening as part of the launch and Kingy is asking if we can provide coppers that we may be saving in bottles (1p & 2p's) for use in a display of the official logo. Paul Burke's father died last week and everyone connected with Diamonds would like to extend the deepest sympathy to Paul and his family at this sad and difficult time. As a mark of respect the match subs collected on Sunday are to be donated to a charity in accordance with the family wishes. They have very kindly chosen to donate the £70 collected to the Oliver King Foundation where it will be put to very good in use in helping to prevent the unecessary death of young people.

Diamonds web shop has been relaunched and rebranded with hundreds more retailers participating and some great commissions available. The new eStore was launched towards the end of September 2011 and in addition to the good commissions there are also discounts offered on a daily basis. The potential to raise money for Diamonds is much better than you may imagine - just short of £30 has been raised essentially by 2 people using the store on a very limited basis. Wolfie booked a hotel room costing £124.99 and £6.25 went into Diamonds coffers and commissions seem to be even better now with a number of shops. Each time the commission reaches £20 the money will be sent direct to Diamonds bank account.

The unusually hot weather helped to make the Presentation Day a major success. Thanks to Alision for arranging the venue (Palmerston Tennis Club) and for working on the bar all day with some invaluable help from 'Bing'. Thanks also to Kingy and Liam Costello for their hard work in organising and preparing the food. Diamonds squad is currently short on numbers (we have been down to the bare 11 for some matches & 10 on one occasion) and the team is looking for at least 2/3 new additions for the Champions League in July and for next season when they will be competing in the Belle Vale League for the first time. The lads will continue to train for as long as practical during the summer so it is a good opportunity to get acquainted with potential team mates. If you feel that you/your son has enough quality and experience and is up for a new challenge with one of the premier teams in the city feel free to contact manager Mark King at the earliest opportunity. Diamonds enjoy their football and are a friendly and welcoming bunch and have retained the core of their squad since the early years when the lads were 4/5 years old. As a consequence there is a great team spirit and the majority of newcomers take little time to settle in. Players have already expressed an interest so if you/your son wants to be part of Diamonds future then you will need to make contact quickly.
